2011,I’m ready for you
January 2011
Yeah, I saw how gigantic that list was, so I decided to just dumb it down to the 5 worst things I’ve ever seen this year.
And yes, this is still my opinion, bite me.
5 Iron Man 2
Fuuuuugh. Why, just, why? The first one was just, brilliant, but this was just a giant disappointment. it didn’t blow your mind as much as the first one did, and the story was just a mess. It relied too much on that action factor, and the hype for The Avengers, that it just completely ignored everything else that made the first movie great.
4 Paranormal Activity 2
This is one movie where you really need to put yourself in the right mood for it. But it’s like, no matter how much I try, I just can’t find a way for this to be scary. It just ended up boring me for the entire time. If you liked, more power to ya, but I just can’t call this a horror movie.
3 The A Team
This was just stupid beyond belief. It tried to hard to make the rediculous concept of the A Team, into something that was epic and stuff. It failed, miserably. It was just, ugh. The way it raped the laws of physics also made it hard to watch. The fact that you try to get Rampage as Mr T, you know you’re in a bad ride. A couple of the action scenes are good, but overall just not that entertaining. Case and point, this is just not a great movie.
2 Robin Hood
This is another movie that tried too hard to be epic. The action’s just mindless and we’ve seen it all before. The actings pretty iffy, and the story is just as awkward. It’s just not satisfying to watch. The characters are just boring, and you never really find yourself caring about them. Overall, it’s just another dry action movie that fails on most point.
1 Twilight Eclipse
Ok, you already know why this is here. The retarded story is as stupid as ever, and again, you can not sympathize with these cardboard cut outs you call characters. The mindless hordes of fangirls can love it all they want, but it will never change the fact that this is just a horrible piece of garbage. Oh and did I mention, this is hilarious most of the time from how bad it was.
Btw this is my opinion so yea, bite me! I really had to dumb down what I liked about these because I didn’t want to have a giant waterfall of text, but yeah ykno.
10 The ExpendablesThis is the manliest movie of all fucken time. I’m going to admit though, this is by no means a great movie. If it weren’t for the cast, this would be somewhere on my dislike list, but ykno I’m one biased flip.
9 Repo Men
This one just reminded me alot of Minority Report, and how this guy works for this little system like thing, and then he gets chased around by it. Yeah, this is another one that’s just for me. Ykno this list won’t even get serious till like later.
8 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I’m not gonna lie, this one came out of left field. When I walked in I wasn’t expecting much, but when I walked out I was entertained as shit yo. It was able to balance out nice cinematography with some kickass action, and although some scenes coulda been trimmed down, and the ending was emotional whiplash and dissatisfying, this is a really good movie to watch.
7 Megamind
Yeah, this is another sleeper. When I saw the trailers I was just like “What the hell is this shit?” but when I saw it, it was pretty awesome. The jokes were pretty clever, and it had a pretty rocking soundtrack too. The most important thing though, was that it had a lot of likeable characters, and actually made Jonah whats his face somewhat threatening.
6 Tangled
Yeah Disney’s still got it when it comes to fairy tales. It was able to make this simple story of Rapunzel into a really clever and funny adventure. The thing that surprised me most though was how dark it got towards the end. I mean yeah, the villian is bound to die a pretty bad death, but everything leading up to that was just, damn. But I digress, this is a nice “omgulay I’m fucken forever alone” movie too
5 Toy Story 3
Ok, this one is just biased, but fuck you it’s my list. It was able to give a really great ending to my favorite childhood memory. I still think that 2 is way better, but this is a really satisfying and often emotional ending. It still has that charm and hilarious subtle gags that you all know and love, and even manages to add even more lovable characters to an already awesome cast of characters. This is just awesome, hands down.
4 KickAss
Ok, you should’ve known this was gonna be on here. This is able to make something so simple, such as some geeky kid wanting to become a superhero, and make it epic, and awesome. The humor just doesn’t stop, and the fact that the action sequences don’t hold anything back, this is just one ride that you will love. It even manages to touch your heart on some parts too, and this perfect blend just makes it one of my favorite movies of 2010
3 The Social Network
This was another sleeper for me. I saw the trailers and thought “This is gonna be stupid” but when I watched it, I loved it. It was able to show how intense a business can be. All the stuff that happened between these friends because of money, was just heartbreaking. It showed the other side of the making of facebook, and successfully make you question which side is right. It’s amazing, if you haven’t seen it, go see it yeah?
2 Inception
This movie, oh my gulay this movie. This is just awesome personified. It completely changes how you can look at reality, whether this is all a dream or if it’s real. Not only does this play around with that, but it even adds some drama in it, and shows how guilt can really mess a guy up. Inception completely blew my mind, and really made me think, as well as entertain me forever.
1 The FighterThis movie is just heartbreaking, and showed you the really ugly side of trying to reach your goals. Every single character in this movie is believable, and it really makes you sympathize with these people. It’s also as inspiring, if not more, than Rocky, and until now I didn’t think a movie like that could exist. This is one movie that really played my emotions like a violin, and did I enjoy all of it. And not only that, but Mark Whalberg and Christian Bale, really became these two people. I love every moment of, and is hands down, my top movie of 2010
Bring it on!
